Finca Los Naranjos began in 2015 as a project shaped by a group of high school friends in Apaneca, El Salvador. When they took on the farm it had been abandoned for many years and was in disrepair. Their work has transformed it into a thriving landscape that supports more than 200 families in the surrounding communities, growing coffee under forest shade on volcanic slopes.
Gesha traces back to Ethiopia and reached Central America via Costa Rica in the 1950s, spreading through the region long before Panama brought it into the global spotlight. In El Salvador, the variety can show lifted, Ethiopian-like aromatics and a tea-like structure. Here, fermenting whole cherry in a CO2-rich environment builds sweet, candied fruit character while keeping the cup clean, floral, and light.
