Finding the perfect conditions for the Sudan Rume was no easy task — the variety is notoriously low yielding, and difficult to cultivate. After multiple tests by Café Granja La Esperanza, Las Margaritas farm was chosen, and what an excellent decision that proved to be.
With ideal soil and altitude the plants flourished in their carefully selected home. Picking occurs only at the peak of harvest to ensure enough perfect cherries for the carefully monitored natural process, culminating in one of the the most unique Colombian coffees we have ever tasted.
