Current - Mchana AB
The first ever Kenyan lot in our Foundation genre. More mellow acidity than other coffees from the origin and reminiscent of a beautifully balanced south-american offering.
Based in Kiambu Couty the Mchana Estate sits 35 kilometres north of Nairobi city, totalling 907 hectares with over 450 dedicated to crop growth.
Set on volcanic undulating plains the land has surprisingly low elevation, but with rich red soils and a processing system in place to re-circulate all water (which ensures more economical consumption) the farm generates consistently high crop-quality year on year.
